DataWedge Setup
- Click on "Data Wedge Stopped"
- On the Data Wedge page, click on the Datawedge to toggle it on.
- Click on "Basic Configuration", select "Keystroke Output" and under "InterChar Delay" enter "10".
- To Save this setting, do NOT press Back. Press "0" to select the menu to Exit, and then Exit the previous page as well. You will see a popup showing the setting is being saved.
Basic Fusion Settings Before Wifi Setup
- Scroll to the "Wifi Settings - Log On/Off" and click on the Fusion button.
- Click on "Options" and on the drop down on the next screen, select "Regulatory" and disable "Enable 802.11d [Infrastructure Mode only]"
- Select Save.
Fusion Settings - Set Up Wifi In Fusion
- Scroll to the "Wifi Settings - Log On/Off" and click on the Fusion button.
- Click on "Manage Profiles"
- Long press on the default "101" profile and select "Edit".
- Enter the name and SSID of the client Wifi network
- Select the correct type of Wifi security for the clients network.
- Enter any necessary passphrase or password for the client wifi network
- Under the "Battery Usage Mode" for the Wifi, select "CAM".
Setting up the Battery Settings
- Press the "Start" menu icon in the bottom left.
- Select "Settings"
- Select the "System" menu icon.
- Scroll to "Power" (battery icon)
- Select in upper right "Advanced" page.
- Uncheck the "Turn off device if not used for 1 minute" to keep the device turned on.
Setting Up the RDP (Remote Desktop) Session - Scanco Cloud
- Press the "Start" menu icon in the bottom left.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Programs and long hold onto the "Remote Desktop" icon.
- While still holding the icon, move the Remote Desktop item up on the screen until the screen reaches the top of the page.
- Enter the "Remote Desktop" settings.
- Under "host" always enter "wms1.scanco.com"
- For User, enter the RDP user you have set up for the company
- For Password, enter the Global RDP password you have set up for the company.
- For Domain, enter "cloud"
- Click on "More Settings" in the bottom of the screen, and set to "16-bit color", and checkmark both "Fit to Screen" and "Run Full Screen".
- Save, and exit.
- Re-enter the "Remote Desktop" and test the connection with the scanner connected to test.
Setting up the Device Name (optional)
- Press the "Start" menu icon in the bottom left.
- Select the "System" menu icon.
- Scroll to "About" (scanner icon) and click it.
- On the top right click "Device Name"
- Change device name here. Typically we use "RF_" with "_" being the number scanner set up.
