Scanco Audio Assistance in Native Warehouse 100
The options shown on the screen to the right are for the Audio Assistance. Validation Audio: The scanner will still beep just like it does now after reading barcodes but if you enable this option the Scanco program will play a Good \ Bad scan sound after the data collected is validated. Example: you scan a barcode and hear the beep and then item collected is sent to the Sage database for validation, once the reply returns from Sage the scanner will play good validation sound [Ding] and move to the next prompt or bad validation sound [ANNNNNTTTT] and then a message will appear to explain the bad validation. Audio Cues: when this option is enabled the user will hear the labels of each field and all Pop-up messages read by the scanners operating system. Example: the program displays “Item” prompt = the device will say “Item”. Example: bad item validation message would read = “Invoiced quantity cannot be greater than the quantity on the order for this line item” NOTE: this option cannot be used with Validation Audio. Audio Values: when this option is enabled the user will hear the data collected read back to them. Example: scanning 6655 would be read back aloud “6 6 5 5”. NOTE: this option cannot be used with Validation Audio. |
