Scanners: Scanners and operating systems vary; this is the general way to setup wireless connection on most devices

You can use Microsoft Security (instead of Funk Security)if you feel that is easier

Programming Handheld Settings
Go to Start button>Settings folder>Personal Tab
Today Icon>Items Tab – check Date & Wireless, uncheck 5 bottom items. Click O.K.
Menus – Uncheck everything, Check File Explorer, Intermec Launcher, Terminal Services Client, Word Mobile. Click O.K.
Go to Start>Settings>System Tab
About Icon>Device ID Tab - Enter a unique Device ID for each HH, Click O.K.
Backlight Icon
Check “Turn off backlight if….”
Check “Turn on backlight when….”
Adjust “Brightness Level” to the middle or lower. Click O.K.
Clock & Alarms Icon - Change to the correct Date and Time, and click O.K. When prompted to save changes click O.K.
Intermec Settings
Go to Data Collection>Internal Scanner>Symbologies
UPC/EAN uncheck “UPC A xmit as EAN 13”
Enable Interleaved 2 of 5
Go to Data Collection>Internal Scanner>Symbology Options
Enter Postamble = \r (this is a carriage return)
At the bottom menu Click on File/Save Settings then File/EXIT
Power - On the “Advanced” tab, both options should be unchecked. Click O.K.
Wireless Network Icon>Edit Selected Profile Button
Basic tab - set your SSID, Turn off “Enable Power Management”.
Security tab – set 802.1x security to EAP-FAST, set Association to WPA, set Encryption to TKIP, set Username & Password to rf1 (on ALL handhelds)
Additional Settings Button – in Anonymous EAP-fast Name type “anonymous” no quotes.
Click O.K. three times to get back to Settings
Connections Tab> Connections Icon> Advanced Tab
Select Networks Button – Both boxes should say “My Work Network” Click O.K. twice.
Network Card Icon – click on “…802.11…”
Click on the Use specific IP address radio button and enter your static IP address.
Click on the subnet mask and it will be automatically filled out for you.3
Click O.K. three times to get back to Windows Desktop.
If ilaunch is installed, go to Start menu, click Intermec Launcher and test buttons
To exit iLaunch, click ‘Status’, click ‘Exit’, password = 12345, Click O.K.
Resetting Handheld:
CN3 - Reset (Warm Boot)
Preferred reset for the CN3, press and hold the I/O button until the screen goes blank.
CN3 - Secondary Reset (Cold Boot)
If the preferred reset method does not restore the CN3, you must remove the battery - there is a small round button on the right hand side of the unit, in the battery compartment. Press and hold that button for about 3 seconds and then re-insert the battery. The unit will turn itself on, and is resetting.
CN3 - Clean Boot
To clean boot the CN3, you must remove the battery - there is a small round button on the right hand side of the unit, in the battery compartment. Press and hold that button for about 3 seconds and then re-insert the battery. As soon as you insert the battery, press and hold the I/O button until the screen asks you if you want to clean boot - press the button indicated on screen to clean boot.
